1. Service Description

SettleBooks provides an automated service to convert e-commerce marketplace settlement reports (from Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, Walmart, eBay, TikTok Shop, Mercari, and others) into formatted journal entries for import into accounting software.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account or API keys with unauthorized parties.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Upload only settlement files that you are authorized to access.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
  • Not upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the system.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. Billing

  • Free tier: 2 conversions per month, no account required.
  • Paid plans: billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time.
  • Credits: purchased credits never expire and are non-refundable.
  • Refunds: subscription payments may be refunded within 14 days of charge.

5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

SettleBooks generates journal entries based on automated parsing of settlement files. While we strive for accuracy, you are responsible for reviewing all journal entries before importing them into your accounting software. We are not a licensed accounting firm and do not provide accounting advice.

6. Limitation of Liability

SettleBooks is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to inaccurate journal entries, data loss, or service interruptions.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your settlement data. We do not claim ownership of any files you upload or journal entries we generate. We retain the right to use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time via your account settings, which permanently removes all your data.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
